Demand of Madhya Pradesh has reached 1455MW in FY 2019-20 and expected to grow upto 18000MW by year 2022-23. The demand is expected to reach about 21000MW by the end of 14th Plan.

Accordingly, system studies were carried out to evolve transmission system requirement for the end of 13th Plan period considering load demand of Madhya Pradesh as 18000MW. The studies Inter alia, recommended establishment of 1No.400/220kV S/s, 5 Nos. 220/132kV S/s and 27 Nos.132/33kV S/s in the MP network.

MP Package -I : The Transmission works under Package – I are spread in the area of Central Discom and West Discom. These works covers construction of 1 No. 400kV GIS S/s, 2 Nos.220/132S/s. 1 No. 220/33kV S/s, 11Nos. 132kV S/s and 2 Nos. 132/33kV GIS S/s with connected Transmission lines ranging from 400kV to 132kV.

All the contractual obligations like transfer of SPV, acquisition of Shares through SPA with REC PDCL and MP PKG1 Limited and M/s. Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. Transmission Service Agreement with M.P.Power Management Company Limited were completed on 21.01.2023.

In continuation to compile the contractual obligations MP Power Transmission Package-I Ltd, has submitted application for obtaining the Transmission license and adoption of Tariff with MPERC.
